I’m so with you on the importance of using the nice things, but also struggling over putting that into action with some things.

Using my notebooks is the hardest for me. I tend to buy cheap notebooks for everyday stuff, but my nice ones, that I usually pick up on my travels, seem to stay empty for ages while I dither over how to use them for “something special”.

I’m trying to overcome this, but am definitely a work in progress!

I completely understand! It always seems like we should save them up for that one special project, but I'm telling myself my everyday life is worthy of nice notebooks, too. Thanks so much for reading.

I’ve also been shopping my stash lately. I still have a decent amount of stickers that need to be used, so I’ve been putting down random ones on my journal pages when I feel the urge. I’ve decorated sketchbooks that aren’t in use yet and took a special notepad to work so it’s actually being used.

I’m motivated by the thought of clearing out the stuff I’ve had for years so that I can build a more intentional and organized supply in the future.

I hear you! I've had some of the vinyl stickers in my collection for years, and when I saw how old some of them were I realized they really should be used on any page inside of my notebooks, not just the "special" ones. While it's nice to appreciate the things I have and hold them dear, a lot of these items exist to bring us joy when used!

I'm right there in this journey with you. I would love to balance clearing out what I have vs. buying new supplies, because there will inevitably be items that I want to purchase in the future. Best of luck to both of us in making intentional choices!

I’m with ya! For decades I wouldn’t use stickers or use pencils because I was nervous about “wasting” them. Even clothes and jewelry I’ve avoided wearing to keep them nice, but last year and this year I’ve made an effort to use what I have. Result? Feeling a wee bit more fancy. 🙃 Loved seeing that you took your backpack out, and hope you enjoy using the special Blackwings and stickers.

That's awesome to hear! We're lucky to have these nice pieces in our closets and on our desks, and like you, I've found that using them brings me more joy. Thanks so much for reading and sharing your thoughts.
